Musician, Multimedia Producer, Climber, Brother, and Son
Mark Willey is formally trained as a musician, with performance degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He works as the director of music and organist for the Spencerville Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, and appears regularly as a free-lance performer throughout the Baltimore and Washington area. A skilled audio editor and producer, Mark has worked on many classical recordings including releases for the Guild, Centaur and Ethereal labels. Recent and current projects include solo organ CDs for Huw Williams, Will Headlee and Nigel Potts and choral recordings for the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. When he isn't making music in some capacity Mark can be found climbing with his brother, author Bruce Willey, or cycling to save gas. As aspiring filmmaker, Mark currently has several projects in the works, including a documentary of the organs of Washington D.C.
